Forging Synergies for Economic Empowerment: MSSIDC and MNLU Mumbai Unite to Drive Innovation and Intellectual Property Awareness Across Maharashtra's Small-Scale Industries

MSSIDC and MNLU Mumbai Forge Pathbreaking Partnership through Memorandum of Understanding
In a significant development aimed at bolstering the Intellectual Property Landscape and Fostering Innovation, the Maharashtra Small Scale Industries Development Corporation Ltd. (MSSIDC) and Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai (MNLU Mumbai) have joined forces by signing a flagship Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Represented by Smt. Farogh Mukadam, Joint Managing Director of MSSIDC, and Prof. (Dr.) Dilip Ukey, Vice Chancellor of MNLU Mumbai, the two entities have embarked on this strategic collaboration to conduct Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Workshops across all 36 districts of Maharashtra. The MoU also endeavors to harness geographical indications for promoting and protecting Maharashtra's indigenous products.

Expressing his gratitude to Shri Rajendra Nimbalkar, IAS, Managing Director of MSSIDC, Prof. (Dr.) Dilip Ukey hailed the partnership as a transformative step towards fostering innovation, stimulating ideation, and nurturing the incubation of new businesses and entrepreneurial ventures throughout Maharashtra.
Smt. Farogh Mukadam echoed the sentiments of collaboration, emphasizing the shared vision of both organizations to equip Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with the requisite knowledge and tools to navigate the complexities of intellectual property rights. Underscoring the pivotal role of IPRs in the growth and sustainability of small-scale industries, which serve as the backbone of Maharashtra's economy, she reiterated the commitment to empower MSMEs through strategic collaborations and capacity-building initiatives.
