The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) have extended the registration deadline for CTET July 2024 till April 5.
The application window for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) opened on March 7 and was set to close on April 2. The candidates who are yet to apply can register at ctet.nic.in.

CTET is held twice a year. CTET 2024 January exam was held on January 21. Of the total 26,93,526 candidates registering for the CTET January 2024 exam, 84 per cent of the applicants appeared for the exam.
The minimum qualifications for appearing in the CTET are notified by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and are as follows:
Passed Class 12 or Senior Secondary with minimum 50% marks along with clearing or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.Ed)
• Passed Class 12 with minimum 45% marks along with passing or appearing in the final year of a 2-year D.Ed as per the rules mentioned in NCTE Regulations of 2022.
• Passed Class 12 with minimum 50% marks along with clearing or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
• Passed Class 12 with minimum 45% marks along with passing or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Special Education
• Graduation in any stream with minimum 50% marks and a B.Ed
• Post Graduation with minimum 55% marks and 3-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed
Candidates from General and OBC categories will have to pay Rs 1,000 for one paper and Rs 1,200 for both papers while the registration fee for SC, ST, and differently-abled persons is Rs 500 for the single paper test and Rs 600 for both papers.
