CBSE unveils career guidance dashboard and counselling model for 2025–26

The board has introduced two programs aimed at improving student wellbeing and guidance, combining digital career planning resources with a structured school network to deliver enhanced mental health and counseling support.

CBSE unveils career guidance dashboard and counselling model for 2025–26

The Central Board of Secondary Education has launched the CBSE Career Guidance Dashboard and the CBSE Counselling Hub & Spoke School Model to enhance career planning and mental health support for students in the 2025–26 academic session.

The initiatives were introduced at the CBSE Integrated Office in Dwarka, New Delhi, during an event attended by over 500 principals, counselors, wellness teachers, and education stakeholders from CBSE-affiliated schools.

CBSE Chairperson Rahul Singh, IAS, connected the launch to the goals of the National Education Policy 2020, stressing the board’s commitment to building inclusive, scalable, and sustainable student guidance systems.

“These initiatives are designed to benefit both students and schools and will continue to grow through stakeholder input,” he said.

CBSE Secretary Himanshu Gupta, IAS, highlighted the importance of structured support systems in addressing students’ academic, personal, and career-related challenges.

The CBSE Career Guidance Dashboard, accessible at cbsecareerguidance.in, offers career assessments, planning tools, and expert advice for students, teachers, and school leaders.

The Counselling Hub & Spoke School Model will create a network where hub schools mentor spoke schools to deliver psychosocial services. The event included a detailed orientation on its implementation and monitoring.

Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations, led a session on examination reforms under NEP 2020, addressing strategies and answering questions from school representatives.

CBSE said both initiatives are aimed at promoting holistic student development by expanding access to career guidance tools and strengthening mental health resources in line with NEP 2020’s vision.
