After completing compliance measures flagged earlier, the Gurugram-based school regains CBSE affiliation and approval for Class IX and XI admissions.

GD Goenka High School in Gurugram has had its affiliation restored by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), allowing the institution to continue functioning as an affiliated school under the board.
The decision follows a review conducted by the board after the institution completed the required compliance procedures. With the reinstatement, the school has also received approval to admit students to Classes IX and XI for the upcoming academic session.

Earlier, the board had temporarily suspended the school’s affiliation over concerns related to student safety and regulatory compliance.
According to the school management, corrective measures have since been implemented in accordance with CBSE norms and guidelines. The institution said the reinstatement reflects its efforts to align with regulatory standards while continuing its focus on academic excellence and student welfare.
Speaking on the development, Sumana Dutta Sarkar, Principal of GD Goenka High School, said the restoration reflects the institution’s commitment to transparency and continuous improvement.
She added that the school remains focused on delivering quality education within a safe and supportive environment and expressed appreciation to parents, students, faculty, and stakeholders for their support during the review period.
The school also acknowledged the cooperation of its community and reiterated its commitment to maintaining academic standards and supporting the holistic development of students.
