The board directs G D Goenka High School to separate campuses, enhance student safety, construct boundary walls, and comply fully with affiliation norms before reinstating admission and academic operations.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has suspended the affiliation of G D Goenka High School in Sohna, Gurugram, for the 2026–27 academic year following serious violations of affiliation norms related to student safety and campus infrastructure.
CBSE’s inspection found that the school was operating from a shared campus with two other educational institutions, without proper segregation.

A university program was also running from the top floor, and the premises lacked a permanent boundary wall or clear demarcation between the different institutions.
The Board stated that such arrangements pose significant risks for students, as a shared campus without secure separation can expose children to unauthorized interactions, increasing the likelihood of bullying, harassment, or other safety issues.
“Ensuring student safety is a non-negotiable responsibility of school managements,” the CBSE order noted.
The Board observed that the school was unable to create independent campuses for each institution within a reasonable timeframe, prompting the decision to suspend affiliation.
CBSE also issued a warning to other schools, emphasizing its strict approach toward violations that compromise student safety or infrastructure standards.
Key directions from CBSE include suspension of admissions for Classes 9 and 11 during 2026–27, while students already enrolled in Classes 9 to 12 may continue their education.
The school must ensure full compliance with CBSE Affiliation Bye-Laws, maintain student safety at all times, and stop sharing premises with other institutions.
The Board has instructed the school to create separate entry and exit points, construct a six-foot-high concrete boundary wall around the campus, and ensure that no facilities, infrastructure, or staff are shared with any other entity.
Additionally, the school must set up a Composite Science Laboratory as per CBSE standards and maintain records in line with Affiliation Bye-Laws 2018 and related circulars and procedures.
