Students receiving a no-change outcome in the verification process will be able to review their assessed answer books at regional offices, a first-of-its-kind measure by the board.

CBSE has introduced a new provision allowing students to physically inspect their evaluated answer books under certain circumstances, marking a significant change in its post-result review process.
According to a Leading news agency report, students who receive a "No-Change" outcome after the answer sheet verification process will now be permitted to examine their evaluated answer books at CBSE Regional Offices.

The initiative is being implemented for the first time and is aimed at addressing concerns raised by students about the evaluation process.
Until now, students could apply for verification and revaluation of their answer sheets, but there was no option to physically review evaluated answer books after these procedures were completed.
The newly introduced facility is expected to offer greater transparency and help students better understand the evaluation of their responses.
The move is being seen as an effort to strengthen trust in the board's assessment system. By allowing physical inspection of answer books, CBSE aims to address lingering concerns related to answer sheet evaluation and improve satisfaction with the verification and revaluation process.
While CBSE has not yet issued detailed operational guidelines for the inspection process, the decision represents a notable shift in the board's mechanism for handling post-result grievances.
On June 21, 2026, the board announced that more than 87% of applications submitted for post-result activities had been processed, with results released during the first phase.
Students who applied for verification, revaluation, or other post-result services can access the official CBSE portal to check their updated marks and application status.
