Bihar to launch Shikshak Samadhan Portal on Sept 5 to resolve teacher grievances

The Bihar government will launch the Shikshak Samadhan Portal on Sept 5 to address teachers’ grievances within 30 days, Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari said.

The portal will be launched in Patna on Teachers’ Day, with the state Education Department setting a 30-day target for resolving complaints raised by teachers.

"A target has been set to resolve teachers' issues within 30 days," the department stated.

Speaking at the Seemanchal Conclave in Purnia, Tiwari said teachers may struggle to concentrate on their responsibilities when they are dealing with unresolved problems. He said the government plans to address such concerns so educators can focus on their work.

The minister said the initiative is part of the government’s broader efforts to reform the education department and improve its functioning.

"We have decided to perform through reform. We plan to take the education department towards so much reform, that the state of Bihar performs automatically."

Tiwari also announced that educators from every district will be given state honors on Teachers’ Day. He said preparations for the event are underway.

"The preparations are going on. On the same day, the state government is planning to launch the Shikshak Samadhan Portal," he said.

He further said officials would be held accountable if teachers’ grievances are not resolved within the 30-day timeframe. Such cases could also be investigated, he added.

Meanwhile, the Education Department held a review meeting at the District Guest House in Purnia on Aug 29. The meeting reviewed the progress and quality of education in the district and discussed various issues related to schools, Tiwari said in a post on X.

"A strong education system is the solid foundation of a developed Bihar," he said.
