Assam’s Directorate of Higher Education extends admission schedule for UG, PG, and integrated courses

The admission schedule for all undergraduate, postgraduate, and five-year integrated courses has been extended by the Directorate of Higher Education, Assam due to the flood situation in the state. According to a notification issued by the directorate, the extension has been made in response to requests from the Universities and Colleges authorities, as directed by the Government of Assam in the Higher Education Department. The new timeline for admission to FYUPG, FYIPG, and FYIMP can be found on the Assam State Higher Education Portal.
As per the revised schedule, colleges are allowed to accept applications for non-CUET admissions until June 23. On June 24 and 25, the competent authority will compile and release the second merit list, followed by three days of admission rounds until June 28. Spot admissions will be conducted from June 29 to July 1.

Conversely, for CUET admissions, students are given the opportunity to choose programs from July 1 to July 2, with a correction window available from July 3 to 4. Academic screening by the authority will take place from July 5 to July 8. The initial preparation and release of the first merit list is scheduled for July 9, followed by the second merit list on July 12, the third merit list on July 16, and finally spot admissions on July 17 and 18.
The spot admission's final round will take place on July 29 and July 31.
