The Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh (BSEAP) on Monday announced the Class 10 results with girls outshining boys in this year's examination achieving a higher pass percentage.
While the girls achieved a pass percentage 89.17 percent, the pass percentage for boys stood at 84.32 percent. This year’s pass percentage has also improved with 86.69% SSC students clearing the exam.
The Andhra Pradesh Commissioner of School Education, S Suresh Kumar announced the result in a press conference. The SSC result link is available can be accessed at the official BSEAP website — results.bse.ap.gov.in.
According to the data released by the AP Board, over 6 lakh students appeared for the BSEAP SSC exam 2024.
Last year, the overall pass percentage was 72.26 per cent. Of the total 6,52,000 students appearing for the AP SSC exams last year, as many as 6,09,881 passed.
This year, a total of 3,17,960 boys enrolled for the exam, with 3,14,610 actually appearing. Similarly, 3,05,168 girls were registered, out of which 3,02,005 appeared.
The total number of students who took the exam amounted to 6,16,615. The percentage of attendance in the total regular category stood at an impressive 98.95 percent.
This year, the AP board also provided audio question papers to visually impaired students.
Andhra Pradesh Residential and BC Welfare schools achieved the highest pass rate this year, with 98.43 per cent of their students successfully clearing the SSC exam.
The BSEAP Class 10th examination was held from March 8 till March 30, 2024. Moreover, the AP SSC supplementary exams will be held from May 24 to June 3.
