The ratings recognize institutions promoting innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship, while the initiatives support promising ideas and help innovators develop concepts into practical solutions with societal value.

AICTE has announced the annual performance and star ratings for the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) 7.0 for the 2024-25 academic year, along with the second-round results of the YUKTI Innovation Challenge (YIC) and AICTE Productization Fellowship (APF) 2025.
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) announced the results on Oct 6 through a post on X by AICTE Chairman Yogesh Singh and Member Secretary Shyama Rath.

The IIC 7.0 ratings recognize AICTE-affiliated institutions for their work in promoting innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship among students and faculty members during the academic year.
The annual ratings are intended to highlight institutions that have worked to develop an environment that encourages students and teachers to pursue innovative ideas and entrepreneurial initiatives.
AICTE also released the second-round results of the YUKTI Innovation Challenge (YIC) and the AICTE Productization Fellowship (APF) 2025.
The two initiatives focus on identifying promising ideas and innovations and supporting their development beyond the initial concept stage.
The programs are intended to help innovators work toward practical products and solutions that can address real-world needs.
AICTE said the initiatives are part of its continued efforts to strengthen the innovation ecosystem across higher education institutions in India. The council is supporting ideas that have the potential to develop into meaningful solutions and create value for society.
AICTE said the latest milestones reflect its focus on building an environment in which innovation moves beyond ideas toward practical applications.
The council congratulated the participating institutions, innovators, faculty members and students for their contributions to India's innovation ecosystem.
