UNICEF YuWaah's YouthHub and Gigin AI have collaborated to provide young people between the ages of 15 and 29 with access to job, skill-building, and volunteer opportunities in an effort to revolutionize India's employment infrastructure.

Over 500 verified job placements have already been made possible by Gigin's AI integration into YouthHub since November 2024, demonstrating the initiative's dedication to reaching young people from lower socioeconomic strata as well as those in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

UNICEF YuWaah created YouthHub, a digital platform that connects up-and-coming talent with the opportunities they need to succeed in the cutthroat job market of today.

In order to provide tailored suggestions based on a user's abilities, background, and interests, the platform makes use of sophisticated AI-driven job matching. This guarantees that each user discovers the opportunity that best suits their potential.

YouthHub offers customers access to a wide variety of job postings from various industries in addition to job placements.

The platform enhances its offers by giving free training classes that develop the technical and soft skills necessary for the modern workplace, as well as volunteer opportunities that allow young people to give back to their communities while obtaining invaluable experience.

YouthHub, which is available in nine Indian languages, is dedicated to accessibility and inclusivity throughout India's various regions.

In tackling the dual issues of the skills gap in India and the availability of job possibilities in one location, this strategic alliance between YouthHub and Gigin AI marks a major advancement.

The partnership offers an integrated ecosystem that changes a young person's learning-to-earning journey by combining YouthHub's extensive and dependable career development tools with Gigin's AI-powered, thorough job verification technology.

"Our collaboration with YouthHub is a commitment to ensuring that every young talent in India can access verified, meaningful employment opportunities that truly match their aspirations,” said Surinder Bhagat, Founder & CEO of Gigin AI.

“By connecting skill development with the job market, we are opening doors to a future where each individual's potential is recognized and nurtured. The intent is to break down the barriers that have kept so many from reaching their full potential and giving young adults the tools and confidence they need to thrive in a fast-changing world,” Bhagat added.

By encouraging cooperation between governments, business organizations, academia, and civil society, YouthHub hopes to empower 300 million people by 2030.

The group has set an ambitious aim of reaching 2 million young people in the near future. A crucial stage in this process is the integration of Gigin AI, which guarantees that the advantages of cutting-edge technology and individualized career counseling reach every region of the country, especially in underserved Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

"At UNICEF YuWaah, we believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to realize their potential. Our partnership with Gigin AI is a step towards enabling access to economic pathways through skill development and meaningful opportunities,” Abhishek Gupta, COO - UNICEF YuWaah.

“By integrating technology, innovation, and our commitment to inclusivity, we are bridging the gap between talent and access, ensuring that no young person, whether from a bustling city or a small town, is left behind in building a brighter future,” Gupta added.

As YouthHub and Gigin AI continue to strengthen their partnership, their steadfast dedication to transforming youth employment in India is evident. By leveraging technology to facilitate a smooth transition from education and skill-building to job placement, this collaboration is establishing a new benchmark for economic empowerment and social progress throughout the country.

In alignment with the UN Youth Policy 2030, the UN Secretary-General launched UNICEF’s global Generation Unlimited (GenU) initiative during the 2018 United Nations General Assembly.

This global movement aims to meet the pressing needs of young people aged 10-24 by enhancing opportunities for learning, skill development, employment, and engagement.
