Over 15,000 students engaged in 80+ events at Delhi Technological University's four-day fest, featuring robotics, hackathons, chess, financial cricket, and a Squid Games-inspired math contest, with RoboSoccer stealing the spotlight in a thrilling showdown.
Delhi Technological University's (DTU) annual tech fest, 'Invictus,' attracted engineering students from across North India. This year's theme, "Wielding the Sword of Innovation," infused the campus with a Japanese Samurai vibe.
From captivating samurai-inspired décor to thrilling, high-energy competitions, the four-day event drew over 15,000 students who participated in 80+ activities across 22 societies, creating a true arena of innovation and technical excellence.
Organized by DTU's Technical Council, the event featured a packed schedule with activities such as financial cricket, chess, hackathons, robotics, and even a math competition inspired by the South Korean TV series Squid Game.
The robotics segment was a major highlight, with participants designing and programming robots to tackle specific challenges.
RoboSoccer, an AI-driven football competition between robotic teams, combined strategy, automation, and precision in an exciting showdown.
"Every year, students eagerly count down the days to Invictus, where innovation meets excitement," says Sameeksha, joint treasurer of the Technical Council.
For many, the competition proved to be life-changing. Hardit Singh, a BTech student from ILM University and winner of RoboSoccer, calls it a "game-changer."
"The challenge tested our technical skills and pushed us to adapt under high pressure. Preparing for it involved late-night debugging, countless redesigns, and rigorous testing. This win has fueled our passion for robotics and strengthened our dream of working in autonomous systems," said Singh.
