In the rally, Modi again spoke against the RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav for what he said about the prime minister's family.
"The storm of Sandeshkhali will reach every part of West Bengal", PM Modi criticises TMC at Barasat rally in Bengal
West Bengal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the crowd today on Wednesday at Barasat in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district, where Sandeshkhali is, after opening India's first Metro section under water between Howrah Maidan and Kolkata's Esplanade.
Modi said that the Trinamool Congress is not doing the right thing with the women in West Bengal. He said, "What happened in Sandeshkhali is not acceptable. The TMC government is trying to save the person who did this. But they have lost in the high court and the Supreme Court… The anger of Sandeshkhali will spread to all of West Bengal." Modi said this at a 'Nari Shakti Vandan Abhinandan' event in Barasat where many women came.
Many women in Sandeshkhali have said that a TMC leader named Shajahan Sheikh and his "gang" took their land by force and also "hurt" them. Shajahan Sheikh has been caught by the Bengal police.

Modi came to Kolkata on Tuesday evening and went to Raj Bhawan, where he slept, a BJP leader from the state said.
On Wednesday morning, he opened the Howrah Maidan-Esplanade part of Kolkata Metro's East-West Metro line, which goes under the Hooghly River. The PM also opened the Kavi Subhash-Hemanta Mukhopadhyay and the Taratala-Majerhat Metro parts, and some other things.
Later in the afternoon, he went to Barasat to speak to a crowd.
At the rally, Modi again spoke against the RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav for what he said about the prime minister's family. The RJD is in the Opposition's INDIA group.
"The leaders of the INDIA group have become mad because the NDA will win again. So, they are saying bad things about Modi. The corrupt leaders of the INDIA group are asking about my family and saying that I am against family because I don't have a family. They want to know about my family. But they should come here. My sisters who are here are 'Modi ka parivar'," Modi said.
Speaking to the women, the PM said, “Whenever Modi has any problem, then women help me. The women of Bengal are like Goddess Durga for me. Today, everyone in the country is saying ‘Modi ka parivar’.”
Last week, BJP president of the state Sukanta Majumdar said that if the "hurt women" want to meet the prime minister, the party will help them.
Last week, Modi spoke at two rallies in West Bengal, one in Arambagh in Hooghly district and one in Krishnanagar in Nadia district.
He attacked the TMC government led by Mamata Banerjee for "doing bad things to women" in Sandeshkhali said that the whole country is angry about this, and asked people to make her party lose in the next Lok Sabha elections.
