She emphasized Vidyasagar’s dedication to social progress and his contributions to Bengal’s culture as a testament to the transformative power of knowledge and compassion.
Mamata Banerjee stated on X (formerly Twitter), “Today, on the anniversary of his birth, we honor the life and legacy of the great reformer and scholar, Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar.
