Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has suspended employees at its Nashik office after serious allegations of sexual harassment surfaced, with the company stating that those under investigation will remain suspended pending inquiry.
According to police, seven employees, including a human resources manager, have been arrested in connection with the case. The allegations emerged after a woman accused a colleague of initiating a relationship on the false promise of marriage, prompting a wider probe.

During the investigation, several more women came forward with similar complaints, leading to multiple cases being registered. Police said the incidents span several years, from 2022 to 2026, indicating a pattern of alleged misconduct within the workplace.
The accusations include sexual harassment, inappropriate behaviour, and claims of religious coercion at the workplace. Authorities are examining evidence, including CCTV footage, and have launched a broader probe into the matter.
Police also alleged that complaints were raised with senior officials earlier, but adequate action was not taken at the time, bringing the role of internal management under scrutiny.
In a statement, TCS reiterated its “zero-tolerance” policy towards harassment and said it is fully cooperating with law enforcement agencies.
The case has triggered wider concerns over workplace safety and compliance with harassment prevention norms, with calls for stricter oversight of internal grievance mechanisms.
