A fire broke out in the early hours of Sunday at a residential building in Delhi’s Bhajanpura area, leaving four people injured after they jumped from the first floor to escape the flames.
According to officials, the fire started in two-wheelers parked on the ground floor of the house. The Delhi Fire Services said it received a call about the incident at around 2 am.

As the blaze spread, four residents jumped from the first floor in a bid to save themselves. They were later taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, while other occupants were safely rescued from the building.
Firefighters rushed to the spot and deployed 11 fire tenders to control the situation. After several hours of operation, the fire was brought under control by around 3:50 am, officials said.
Preliminary information suggests that the blaze originated in four two-wheelers parked in the ground-floor parking area, though the exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined. Authorities are expected to conduct further investigation into the incident.
The incident highlights ongoing concerns over fire safety in densely populated residential areas, where vehicles and storage spaces on ground floors can pose additional risks.
In separate incidents reported the same day, fires also broke out at a factory in the Bawana Industrial Area and at a restaurant in Connaught Place. Both were brought under control without any reported casualties, officials said.
Authorities have urged residents to follow fire safety norms and ensure proper precautions in parking and storage areas to prevent such incidents.
