The International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT Hyderabad), one of India’s leading research-driven institutions in information technology, has partnered with TalentSprint, a part of Accenture and a global AI-powered education leader, to launch a Certificate Programme in Generative AI and Prompt Engineering. The initiative is designed to equip professionals with cutting-edge expertise required to thrive in the rapidly evolving world of Generative AI (GenAI).
This collaboration marks the continuation of a seven-year strategic partnership between IIIT Hyderabad and TalentSprint, combining IIITH’s pioneering strength in AI research with TalentSprint’s excellence in delivering advanced online learning experiences. The new programme builds on the success of their flagship AI and Machine Learning (AIML) programme, which has already trained thousands of professionals in the AI and ML domain.

As Generative AI continues to reshape industries—from automating customer experiences to accelerating product development and software engineering—the demand for skilled professionals far outpaces supply. Recent studies reveal that over 78% of global organizations are either investing in or actively exploring GenAI capabilities, underscoring a pressing need for trained experts in areas such as large language model (LLM) tooling, responsible AI design, and real-time AI engineering.
To bridge this talent gap, the programme is anchored by the Kohli Center on Intelligent Systems (KCIS), IIIT Hyderabad’s top-ranked ML Lab known for its contributions to AI research and innovation in India. The curriculum integrates theoretical knowledge with industry-aligned, hands-on learning, enabling participants to build and deploy GenAI-driven applications effectively.
Prof. Sandeep K. Shukla, Director, IIIT Hyderabad, remarked, “Generative AI represents one of the most transformative shifts in computing. Our curriculum goes beyond theory to help participants gain deep insights into the GenAI stack—from prompt engineering to LangChain and vector databases—empowering them to design and deploy intelligent systems that make a real-world impact.”
The three-month blended learning programme is tailored for experienced professionals, combining live interactive sessions by IIIT Hyderabad faculty, mentor-guided labs, and a capstone project. Participants will gain practical expertise in:
The programme’s flexible structure accommodates working professionals while maintaining IIITH’s academic rigor. Enrollees will also join the prestigious IIITH alumni network, gaining access to lifelong learning and leadership opportunities in AI-focused industries.
Thoughtfully curated to merge research depth with real-world relevance, the programme aims to transform participants into skilled GenAI practitioners capable of driving enterprise-scale AI innovation and adoption.
