Age could be catching up with the superstar, known to have ants in his pants and for sleeping very few hours in his quest to keep himself occupied.
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan was admitted to KD Hospital in Ahmedabad on May 22 due to a heat stroke. The actor was in Ahmedabad for the Indian Premier League (IPL) match to support his team, the Kolkata Knight Riders, against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 21.
It was reported that "the actor was suffering from dehydration amid a high temperature of 45° C in Ahmedabad. Even though his health is steady, he is under medical observation. As the fans gathered outside the hospital, security has been tightened.
A heat stroke occurs when the temperature outside is so high that the body cannot produce enough sweat to maintain a healthy core temperature. The body is severely out of balance when it comes to electrolytes like potassium and sodium. Many symptoms are brought on by the disruption of organs caused by the elevated core temperature and salt imbalances.
To prevent heat stroke, it is best to avoid going outside in the heat, especially between noon and 3 o'clock in the afternoon. This is not the time for you to engage in intense activities. Even if you do not feel thirsty, make sure you continue drinking water if you must go outside.
Even after leading a healthy lifestyle, SRK would frequently work two shifts to complete various projects. Like, daytime shooting was scheduled for Dunki, while evenings were reserved for Jawan. He was sleeping for only 4 hours a day while working nonstop.
However, as they say, "If you ignore your health, someday your health may ignore you."
Humans are the most beautiful creatures. The being that is capable of feeling, touching, sensing, and—above all—responding.
What we, as humans, are responsible for is taking care of ourselves. To maintain the balance the universe has created for us. Humans can push themselves, but how far can they go?
If one needs to work, they need to rest too. Humans have developed the power of analysis. Knowing what is wrong and what is right for themselves and their bodies is very important.
But sometimes, humans forget their own limits—the limits to keep themselves healthy and safe. This is the perfect time to realise that humans are humans, not machines.
