Modi emphasized the enormous potential of India's live concert economy, urging state governments and private enterprises to invest in the infrastructure needed to support this thriving sector.

After Coldplay's record-breaking performance at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium, attracting over a million fans on Jan 26, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared his vision for India's growing concert scene.
Speaking at the Utkarsh Odisha Conclave in Bhubaneswar on Jan 28, he highlighted the vast potential of the country's live concert economy.

Modi called on both state governments and private enterprises to focus on developing the infrastructure needed to support this booming sector.
"A country with such a rich heritage in music, dance, and storytelling, and a large, youthful population—a massive consumer base for concerts—has vast opportunities in the concert economy," he said.
Acknowledging the growing passion for live events, Modi said, "Over the past decade, the trend and demand for live events have surged. Recently, you must have witnessed the spectacular scenes from Coldplay's concerts in Mumbai and Ahmedabad. This is a clear reflection of the immense potential for live concerts in India."
He emphasized that top international artists are increasingly drawn to India.
Highlighting the benefits of hosting live events, PM Modi added, "The concert economy not only boosts tourism but also creates numerous job opportunities. I urge both states and the private sector to invest in the infrastructure and skills necessary to support this booming industry. From event management and artist development to security and logistics, there is vast potential in these areas."
India is set to host the first-ever World Audio-Visual Summit next month, which PM Modi referenced in his speech.
Coldplay, the British rock band began their 'Music of the Spheres' tour in India with three shows at Navi Mumbai's DY Patil Sports Stadium on Jan 18, 19, and 21.
The second leg of the tour included two performances at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium on Jan 25 and 26.
