World Bank opens applications for 2025 banking internship program for graduate students

The World Bank is currently accepting applications for its Banking Internship Program, which provides graduate students with a significant chance to obtain work experience in a global development organization.

As interns, candidates will need to contribute new ideas, perspectives, and extensive research experience while working at the forefront of development.

Those studying economics, finance, human development (public health, education, nutrition, and population), social sciences (anthropology, sociology), agriculture, environment, engineering, urban planning, natural resources management, private sector development, and corporate support (accounting, communications, human resources, information technology, and finance) are eligible for this internship opportunity, which will be based on business needs.

In order to be eligible for this internship program, applicants must be fluent in English and hold an undergraduate degree or be enrolled in a full-time graduate program.

Interested candidates may apply for operations and support roles.

It is preferable to know other languages, such as Portuguese, Chinese, Arabic, Russian, Spanish, and French. Technical proficiency in computing and other areas will improve your application as well.

In addition to paying interns on an hourly basis, the World Bank may, at the manager's discretion, give up to USD 3,000 in travel expenses.

The only transportation costs that can be included in these travel expenses are airfares to and from the city of the duty station. Accommodations are the responsibility of the intern.

The deadline to apply for the World Bank Internship program is Feb 14, 2025.

The curriculum vitae, statement of interest, and proof of enrollment in a graduate program must all be uploaded by candidates. Candidates will receive an email confirmation with their application number as soon as these details are submitted.

Shortlisted candidates for the internship will be notified by the end of March 2025. They will be required to attend an interview round.
