The five-year agreement will enable joint research projects, faculty and student exchanges, collaborative publications, and structured knowledge-sharing initiatives to strengthen pharmaceutical education and advance innovation-driven academic outcomes.

Vivekanand Education Society’s College of Pharmacy in Mumbai has entered into a five-year Memorandum of Understanding with Saint Louis University in the United States to deepen academic and research collaboration.
The agreement is designed to promote joint research projects, academic exchange programs, mobility of faculty and students, co-authored publications, and structured knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Both institutions said the partnership reflects a common objective to strengthen pharmaceutical education and generate meaningful research outcomes.
The MoU was formalized under the leadership of Dr Supriya Shidhaye, Principal of VESCOP, in coordination with the leadership team of Saint Louis University.
The Department of Students Development at the University of Mumbai facilitated the collaboration. Dr Pradnya Shinde Korlekar, Assistant Professor at VESCOP, supported the execution and coordination of the agreement.
Discussions between the two institutions began in May 2025 and concluded with the formal signing of the MoU in February 2026.
Speaking about the collaboration, Shidhaye said, "This collaboration with Saint Louis University represents a meaningful step in strengthening our global academic engagement.”
“It will create valuable opportunities for our students and faculty through collaborative research, academic exchange, and shared learning experiences. At VESCOP, we remain committed to building sustainable international partnerships that enhance research capabilities and broaden global exposure for our academic community,” Shidhaye added.
The partnership is part of VESCOP’s broader strategy to expand its international presence and strengthen its focus on innovation, research-driven learning, and global academic integration.
