University of Strathclyde, Glasgow launches first of its kind course, offers blend of legal and technological skills

The University of Strathclyde Law School, Glasgow has launched a new LLM Law course, offering a blend of legal and technological skills.

The LLM Law, Technology and Innovation will be taught by subject experts and visiting international scholars.

International students are eligible to apply for the Humanities & Social Sciences Postgraduate Taught International scholarship through the official website — strath.ac.uk.

The course will enable students to build their own technological projects and allow the students to understand the law that regulates the design, development and distribution of technology internationally.

According to the university, the course is designed to help students develop coding skills and learn how these can be applied to the legal profession.

The course is available for law and non-law graduates and can be combined with modules from other disciplines including Business, Engineering and Science.

The course may be completed over one year (full-time) or over two years (part-time) and the students will be awarded the degree after successful completion of six modules and a summer project.

The options for the summer project include a dissertation, internship, consultancy, enhanced research proposal, or coding project where students will spend a minimum of 100 hours working for or embedded with an external organization.

International Postgraduate Taught Scholarships worth between £4,000 and £5,000 are open to applications from non-EU international applicants beginning full-time, face-to-face programs.
