The initiative marks the university’s 125th anniversary, offering high-achieving undergraduate and postgraduate students across disciplines a chance to study in Dubai with significant tuition fee support.
Marking 125 years of academic excellence, the University of Birmingham Dubai has introduced the ‘125 Scholarship’ initiative to support high-achieving international students, including applicants from India.
A total of 125 scholarships will be awarded to students enrolling for undergraduate and postgraduate programs in September 2025.
The scholarship will cover up to 50% of tuition fees and is available across a wide range of disciplines, including engineering, business, law, health, computer science, life sciences, and education.
Selection will be based on academic performance, and the award is available by invitation only—highlighting its highly competitive and exclusive nature.
“Students enrolling in September 2025 are eligible to apply for the scholarship,” the university said in a release.
Speaking about the launch, Professor Yusra Mouzughi, Provost of the University of Birmingham Dubai, said, “We are proud to introduce the ‘125 Scholarship’ as a tribute to 125 years of transformative education and ambitious research at the University of Birmingham. This initiative reflects our commitment to empowering changemakers who will contribute to the UAE’s vision of a knowledge-based economy.”
She added, “What better way to celebrate 125 years than by enabling and empowering the changemakers of tomorrow in the UAE?”
Meanwhile, the University of Birmingham’s UK campus has also announced a scholarship for postgraduate taught (PGT) master’s programs starting in September 2025.
This scholarship offers between £4,000 and £5,000 in funding, with more than 50 scholarships available to international students—including Indian applicants—based on academic excellence.
The scholarship covers £4,000 for international students and £5,000 specifically for Indian students joining the university in September 2025.
