West Bengal Madhyamik Result 2023 Declared: 5,65,428 Students Pass with 86.15% Overall Pass Percentage

The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has officially announced the West Bengal Madhyamik result 2023 today. This year, a staggering total of 5,65,428 students have successfully cleared the examinations. The declaration of results comes after a period of 76 days since the completion of the exams. The overall pass percentage stands at an impressive 86.15%.

To access the results, students can visit various official websites, including wbbse.wb.gov.in, indiaresults.com, whresults.nic.in, results.shiksha, exametc.com, schools9.com, anandabazar.com, vidyavision.com, sangbadpratidin.in, and fastresult.in.

Celebrating outstanding achievements, Devdutta Majhi emerges as this year’s topper, securing an exceptional score of 99.57%, closely followed by Subham Pal, who achieved an impressive 98.71%. Remarkably, 118 students have attained ranks across 16 districts. Notably, 13.67% of students have achieved scores above 60%.

In an interesting development, the WBBSE chief emphasized that all marksheets and certificates will incorporate QR codes for enhanced authentication.

This year’s overall pass percentage of 86.15% indicates a slight decrease compared to the 86.60% recorded in 2022.

This year, a total of 682,321 students appeared for the West Bengal Madhyamik exams, with approximately 44,000 teachers involved in the evaluation process. The examinations took place from February 23 to March 4, between 12:45 pm to 3 pm. Notably, female candidates constituted 22% more of the total number of candidates.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also extended her heartfelt congratulations to the successful students, acknowledging their remarkable achievements.
