The new portal by NITI Aayog and the PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana aim to recruit skilled talent and create millions of jobs, strengthening India’s policymaking and economic growth efforts.

NITI Aayog has introduced the Work for Viksit Bharat portal to attract professionals from diverse sectors, including economics, big data, IT, telecom, infrastructure, and climate change, into India’s policy and development framework.
The platform, available at workforbharat.niti.gov.in, offers openings ranging from young professionals to senior consultants, with the goal of strengthening national development projects under the Viksit Bharat vision.

An official statement said the initiative aims to “bring skilled individuals into the policymaking and development ecosystem to contribute directly to India’s growth strategy.”
Applicants can register, complete their profiles with educational and professional details, and receive updates on relevant job opportunities.
The portal currently lists roles for young professionals, who will work on policy research, data analysis, and program execution.
Applicants must have at least one year of experience, be under 32 years of age, and hold a master’s degree or equivalent professional qualification. The monthly remuneration is ₹70,000.
Consultant Grade 2 positions are also available for candidates with 8 to 15 years of experience, offering ₹145,000 to ₹265,000 per month.
These roles involve providing technical and strategic inputs on large-scale projects. The upper age limit for these positions is 50 years.
Vacancies are spread across multiple divisions, including Agriculture Policy and Technology, Climate Change & Environment, E-Mobility, Economics & Finance, Education, Governance, Health & Family Welfare, Infrastructure Connectivity, Law, Rural Development, Science & Technology, Skill Development, Social Justice, SDGs, Tourism, and Women & Child Development.
In a related move, the Ministry of Labour and Employment has rolled out the PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY), formerly known as the Employment Linked Incentive Scheme, effective Aug 1.
The program aims to create over 3.5 crore jobs in the next two years, with 1.92 crore expected to be first-time workforce entrants.
The scheme has an outlay of ₹99,446 crore and will benefit jobs created between Aug 1, 2025, and July 31, 2027, as part of the broader Viksit Bharat employment generation push.
