With thousands expected to appear on June 21, governments have introduced transportation and accommodation measures to help students reach examination centers smoothly and avoid travel-related difficulties.

Many states have announced special transportation support for candidates appearing in the NEET UG 2026 re-examination on June 21, with Uttar Pradesh offering discounted bus fares and Andhra Pradesh and Odisha providing free bus travel to help students reach their examination centers.
In Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a 50% concession on Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) bus fares for NEET candidates.

Students can avail of the discount by showing their NEET admit cards while traveling on state-run buses.
Reviewing preparations for the examination, Adityanath said nearly 3.5 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the test across 59 districts.
He directed officials to ensure all necessary arrangements are in place so that students can reach their examination centers without difficulty.
District administrations have also been instructed to provide temporary accommodation facilities for candidates traveling to other districts who do not have suitable lodging arrangements.
The move is intended to reduce travel-related challenges and support students during the examination period.
The chief minister stressed the importance of maintaining transparency and integrity in the examination process. Officials have been directed to strictly follow all guidelines issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and ensure the smooth functioning of examination centers.
He also instructed authorities to closely monitor social media platforms and take prompt action against rumors, misinformation, or misleading content related to the examination. The state government has asked district administrations, police officials, and other departments to coordinate efforts for the successful conduct of the NEET re-exam.
The review meeting was attended by divisional commissioners, district magistrates, police commissioners, senior police officers, and other administrative officials.
Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh government has announced free bus travel for all students appearing for the NEET UG 2026 re-examination.
Andhra Pradesh Transport Minister M Ramprasad Reddy said Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) buses will offer free rides to candidates on June 21.
Students can avail of the facility by producing their examination hall ticket while boarding an APSRTC bus. No additional document or registration is required.
“APSRTC is making special arrangements for students appearing for the NEET examination. We are offering free bus rides for students who produce their hall tickets,” Minister Reddy said in an official release.
The minister also said additional bus services will be operated wherever required to ensure students can reach their examination centers comfortably and on time. He urged NEET aspirants to make full use of the facility and avoid last-minute travel stress.
Odisha has announced a similar initiative for candidates appearing in the NEET UG re-examination.
In a letter to the chairman-cum-managing director of the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC), the state government said the decision was taken following directions from Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
The free travel facility will be available to all 56,983 candidates appearing at 134 examination centers across the state.
According to the government, the measure is intended to reduce the risk of heatstroke, support students from economically weaker sections, and ensure hassle-free travel to examination centers.
