The 25-week online course blends academic learning with real-world insights, offering modules on branding, AI-driven content, and monetization, with top performers earning paid internships at Monk Entertainment.

Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad, has unveiled a new initiative aimed at nurturing India’s next generation of digital creators through a structured, academic approach to influencer development.
The institute has launched “The Social Media Influencer Programme,” a 25-week online certification course that combines marketing strategy, technology, and creative practice to help content creators build sustainable digital careers.

According to MICA, the course responds to the rapid growth of the global creator economy, now valued at over $250 billion, by offering participants a guided pathway to develop professional, strategy-based influence.
Participants will learn to design content strategies, build personal brands, and leverage tools like generative AI to scale their creative output.
The program also includes training in audience engagement, brand partnerships, and monetization models across multiple platforms.
The initiative will be led by MICA professors Dr Falguni Vasavada and Prof Siddharth Deshmukh, both of whom are experienced digital creators and educators. “The course is about aligning creativity with strategy so that influence becomes meaningful and sustainable,” said Dr Vasavada.
Adding an industry dimension, Viraj Sheth, co-founder and CEO of Monk Entertainment, will serve as the program’s industry expert.
He will conduct two masterclasses, “Media Training for Digital Thought Leaders” and “Multi-Platform Content Distribution & Growth Strategy,” focusing on brand authenticity, audience growth, and long-term influence management.
MICA said the program aligns with its mission to merge marketing, communication, and technology in emerging fields.
It noted that today’s influence is measured not just by reach but by “credibility, consistency, and impact.”

In a move to offer practical exposure, five participants will be selected for paid internships with Monk Entertainment in Mumbai, where they will gain hands-on experience in creator management, brand partnerships, and campaign strategy.
The 25-week program will be delivered entirely online, allowing learners to balance their studies with existing careers. The fee is ₹100,500 plus GST, and classes will begin on December 28, 2025.
The curriculum covers platform algorithms, content monetization, growth planning, and creator branding, with mentorship from MICA faculty and industry leaders to help participants shape structured, long-term careers in the digital influence space.
