The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2024 session 2 exams from April 4 to April 12. Along with the admit card download link for session 2, the NTA has also released the examination guidelines that candidates are required to follow. These guidelines include a list of essential documents that applicants must bring to the examination hall.
As per the guidelines, students are required to bring their JEE Main admit card and a valid government-issued ID to the JEE exam centre. Candidates will not be allowed to bring any electronic devices or notes into the examination venue.
The dress code, which is part of the NTA's exam security procedures, advises candidates to avoid wearing clothes with metallic elements, caps, mufflers, or any other headgear. Candidates are encouraged to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing and to avoid wearing jewellery or accessories.
The exam instructions require candidates to arrive at the test centre at least 30 minutes before the reporting time specified on the JEE Main 2024 admit card. Candidates arriving after the start time will not be permitted to take the exam. Candidates are also advised not to bring pens, papers, pencils, or geometry boxes as the exam room provides supplies for rough work.
Restricted items at the JEE Main 2024 exam venue include mobile phones, study materials, electronic gadgets, and any unauthorized items. However, diabetic candidates may bring food items such as sugar tablets, fruits, and clear water bottles to the testing centre. Packed items such as chocolate, sweets, and sandwiches are not allowed. There is no provision for safeguarding belongings at the JEE Main 2024 exam centre.
