JEE main 2025 session 1 dates announced, check details here

The JEE Main 2025 Session 1 will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to Bachelor of Technology (BTech), Bachelor of Engineering (BE), Bachelor of Architecture (BArch), and Bachelor of Planning (BPlanning) programs from Jan 22 to Jan 30, 2025.

There will be three ways to conduct the JEE Main 2025 exam: The Computer-Based Test (CBT) method will be used for BE/BTech.

Part I (mathematics) and Part II (aptitude test) of BArch will be administered in the CBT method, whereas the drawing test will be administered offline using pen and paper on an A4-sized drawing sheet.

Paper for BPlanning will consist of mathematics, an aptitude test, and planning-based questions, all in CBT mode.

BE/BTech will include sections in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Each subject will include two sections.

Section A will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs), whereas Section B will include questions with numerical solutions.

In both Sections A and B, incorrect answers will result in negative marking.

BArch includes CBT-based math and aptitude assessments, as well as an offline drawing test to be performed on an A4 drawing sheet.

The paper will contain approximately 20 multiple-choice questions, five of which will require numerical responses.

Section A and Section B will both be marked negatively (except for the drawing test).

The BPlanning test will be in three parts: Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Planning in CBT mode.

The exam will consist of around 20 MCQs and five questions with numerical answers.

Both Section A and Section B will have negative marking (except for the drawing test).

For each question in Section B, use the mouse and the on-screen virtual numeric keypad to enter the right integer value in the designated place.

To answer a question, candidates must choose the option corresponding to the correct or most appropriate answer.

In case of any discrepancies after the key verification process, the NTA will follow specific marking guidelines.

Four marks will be awarded for every correct or most appropriate answer, while a penalty of -1 mark will be applied for any incorrect answer.

Unanswered questions or those marked for review will receive 0 marks.

If multiple options are found to be correct, four marks (+4) will be awarded to those who selected any of the correct options.

If all options are deemed correct, four marks (+4) will be given to all candidates who attempted the question.
