The program aims to enhance mental resilience, stress management, and personal growth, helping students navigate academic and personal challenges with greater ease and confidence.
The Art of Living Foundation (TAOLF) and the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) joined forces to introduce a well-being program.
The program's main goals are to help students become more mentally resilient, manage their stress, and develop personally.
According to a statement from IIT Kanpur, the program intends to assist students in more easily overcoming both academic and personal obstacles.
In order to improve focus, emotional stability, and general mental health, TAOL will lead specialized sessions at IIT Kanpur that incorporate breathing exercises, mindfulness exercises, and meditation.
The event will feature group activities, interactive discussions, and guided meditation sessions delivered by TAOL's skilled facilitators.
The initiative's first phase for interested IIT Kanpur students is set to begin the last week of March, with plans for ongoing participation to guarantee a long-lasting effect.
In the presence of Dr. Mahesh Gupta, Board of Governors, IIT Kanpur; Prof. Tajdarul Hassan Syed, Associate Dean Students Affairs, IIT Kanpur; Sweta Kumar, Project Executive Officer, IIT Kanpur; Rajeev Padmanabhan Nambiar, Director, Institutional Programs, The Art of Living; Karn Garg, AOL Apex Body Member from UP; Archit Saxena, AOL Faculty; and Deep Garg, the agreement was signed by Prof Pratik Sen, Dean of Students Affairs, IIT Kanpur, and Rajesh Jagasia, Director, The Art of Living Foundation.
Professor Pratik Sen, Dean of Student Affairs, IIT Kanpur, said, “At IIT Kanpur, we believe that academic excellence goes hand in hand with mental and emotional well-being. By collaborating with TAOL, we aim to equip our students with practical tools that will help them manage stress effectively and enhance their overall quality of life.”
