CM Pramod Sawant informed the assembly that NEP 2020 is being implemented in phases and will be fully adopted in all schools across the state by 2028.
The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 will be fully implemented in all schools across Goa by 2028, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said in a written reply in the state assembly on July 22.
Sawant said the policy is already in place at the undergraduate level in all non-technical colleges in the state.
Responding to a question by BJP MLA Nilesh Cabral, Sawant said the implementation of NEP in schools is being carried out in phases and will be completed within the next few years.
He added that for higher education, the policy is being followed in accordance with guidelines from the Ministry of Education, UGC, NITI Aayog, and the recommendations of the Chief Secretaries’ Conference held in Dharamshala.
Training sessions for teachers have been conducted at the block level, focusing on core areas aligned with the objectives of the NEP.
