SDM Medical College explored the blooming questions of adolescence at a CME on May 17th, 2025. Registrar Dr. Shettar highlighted balancing dopamine and serotonin for a better life, emphasizing the crucial knowledge of brain development. Over 200 participants gained insights into this vital phase of life.
The Department of Physiology, SDM Medical College has conducted one day CME on Adolescence: Where Questions Bloom on 17th May, 2025. Adolescence is a study of development of Brain which is important in life of everyone.
Dr. Chidendra M. Shettar, Registrar, SDM University, Shri V G Prabhu, Finance Officer, Dr. Rathnamala M Desai, Principal, Dr. Deepak Kanabur, Vice Principal, SDM Medical College were inaugurated the CME program. More than 200 faculty and students from different Medical Colleges have participated in the program.
Chief Guest Dr. Chidendra M. Shettar told in his speech that
• We have to gain balance between Dopamine and serotonin
• Understanding the brain function help you to lead a better life
• The knowledge of development of Brain is very essential
• These CMEs help to improve new skills and knowledge in adolescence
Organizing Secretary, Dr. Ashwini welcomed the Guests. Organizing Chairperson & Head of the Physiology, Dr. Nagalaxmi proposed the Vote of Thanks. Mr. Chinmay and Ms. Amulya compered the program.
