Authorities seized ₹1.34 crore in cash, along with six high-end mobile phones and laptops.

Police said the gang presented themselves as admission consultants for reputed universities, claiming they could secure seats in medical and engineering colleges through management quotas.

Families were asked to pay lakhs of ₹ before the accused vanished.

The scam came to light after a female head constable filed a complaint. She had received an SMS claiming her son could gain admission to IP University through a management quota.

When she contacted the number, she was directed to an office at Bhandari House, Nehru Place.

A deal of ₹3.5 lakh was agreed upon, and she paid ₹2.3 lakh on July 29. Soon after, the fraudsters switched off their phones and vacated the office.
