IIMA Launches 19th PGPX Batch: 158 High Achievers Embark on One-Year MBA Journey, Championing Diversity and Global Excellence

The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) proudly inaugurated the 19th batch of its One-Year Full-Time MBA (PGPX) program, embracing 158 accomplished professionals from various sectors. This globally esteemed program continues to attract high-caliber working individuals worldwide, aiming to enhance their leadership capabilities for senior management roles.
The PGPX curriculum is meticulously crafted for ambitious executives aspiring to expedite their career growth through a comprehensive global management education, fostering their potential to lead in a dynamic business environment.

Professor Bharat Bhasker, Director of IIMA, highlighted the program's commitment to producing industry-savvy leaders capable of tackling real-world challenges with practical solutions. The PGPX experience, he emphasized, integrates academic rigor with industry insights, facilitated by distinguished faculty and industry stalwarts.
The diverse composition of this year's cohort remains a cornerstone of the PGPX program, underscoring its emphasis on multidimensional thinking and peer learning. Notably, over one-third of the batch brings rich international exposure from both work and academic backgrounds. Additionally, women constitute 26% of the cohort, reflecting IIMA's dedication to gender diversity and inclusivity.
The welcoming ceremony, led by Professor Diptesh Ghosh, Dean (Programmes) and Professor Amit Karna, Chairperson of MBA-PGPX, marked the commencement of a three-day orientation program. This initiative aims to acquaint participants with the Institute's ethos and prepare them for the transformative learning journey ahead.
Professor Amit Karna expressed his enthusiasm for the incoming participants, highlighting the program's track record of nurturing high achievers into visionary leaders. Reflecting on the program's evolution, Professor Diptesh Ghosh elucidated its inception in 2006, designed to equip specialists with holistic management acumen for industry leadership.
