A number of projects were initiated by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways

Important projects include:

India’s major ports will all be more uniformly and efficiently run under the One Nation-One Port Process (ONOP).

Ankalan Sagar: The Logistics Port Performance Index (LPPI) for FY 2023–2024 evaluates all major and non-major ports in the container and bulk (dry and liquid) ports categories.

It is in consonance with the National Logistics Policy, 2022 and the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan.

Bharat Global Ports Consortium: Enhanced port infrastructure will boost exports, supply chains and “Make in India” campaign

It will bring together key stakeholders including Sagarmala Development Company Limited and India Ports Global Private Limited (IPGPL).

Regulatory Interface Master Application for International Trade (MATRI) logo It will accelerate trade processes, reduce duplication of bureaucratic work and clearances, showcasing India’s commitment to business-friendly processes.

To operationalize the Virtual Trade Corridor (VTC) between India and the United Arab Emirates, MAITRI will be key.

It uses blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI) for efficiency and security, aligned with the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEEC) and expected to expand to BIMSTEC and ASEAN countries.
