The Department of Architecture at Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University, recently orchestrated an Industry-Academia Meet and Exhibition, signaling a significant step towards fostering collaboration between academic pursuits and real-world applications. With esteemed figures from academia and industry converging, the event aimed to provide students with invaluable exposure to the practical realm while promoting a robust exchange of ideas and experiences.
Professor Rafiuddin, Dean Students’ Welfare, graced the occasion as the chief guest, lauding the initiative and underlining the imperative need for such programs to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. His words echoed the sentiment of strengthening the triad of professional-academician-student interaction for holistic growth.

Professor Mirza Salim Beg, Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology, served as the co-patron of the program, shedding light on the recent accolades garnered by the University across various ranking platforms, thereby setting the stage for a discourse on academic excellence and innovation.
The event witnessed the presence of esteemed guests of honor, including Professor Manoj Mathur from SPA, New Delhi, Professor Rajat Ray from Indraprastha University, New Delhi, and Architect Hemlata Singh, Principal Architect at White Fox Designs LLP, New Delhi, serving as the Alumni Coordinator. Their presence added gravitas to the proceedings, emphasizing the significance of industry-academia collaboration in shaping future professionals.
Professors Rafiuddin and M. Salim Beg inaugurated an exhibition showcasing products integral to the construction industry. From plumbing fittings to paints, door and window fittings, the exhibition served as a testament to the diverse facets of the construction landscape.
Eminent speakers from academia and industry shared insights on various aspects of the engineering side of the construction industry, enriching the discourse and providing students with invaluable perspectives.
