CLAT PG counseling 2025 opens, candidates must list 15 preferences

The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) declared the results of the Common Law Admission Test Postgraduate (CLAT PG) 2025 on June 10.

Candidates can access and download their scorecards by logging into their CLAT 2025 accounts via the official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

The CLAT PG 2025 exam was held on Dec 1, 2024, across 141 test centers in 25 states and 4 Union Territories.

Following a directive from the Delhi High Court on June 6, 2025, the Consortium released an updated final answer key and revised the results.

Two questions were withdrawn, and the total score for CLAT PG 2025 is now calculated out of 118 marks. The final answer key was also published on June 10.

Qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the admissions counseling process based on the rank list and admission matrix issued by each NLU.

Candidates must check their counseling invitation status by logging into their CLAT accounts on the consortium website during each round.

Counseling registrations will begin at 1 pm on June 11 and close at 5 pm on June 13. Applicants must select at least 15 preferences and may revise them any number of times before the deadline.

General category candidates are required to pay ₹30,000 for counseling registration, while candidates from ST, SC, OBC, BC, EWS, and PWD categories need to pay ₹20,000.

Candidates allotted a seat at any NLU during a counseling round can choose to ‘freeze,’ ‘float,’ or ‘exit.’

Those choosing to freeze their seat in the first three rounds must pay a non-refundable confirmation fee of ₹20,000 within the stipulated time.

If a candidate is not allotted their top preference and wishes to wait for a higher-ranked NLU seat, they may select the ‘float’ option.

Candidates may also choose to ‘exit’ the process entirely if they no longer wish to participate after completing the registration.
