District-level outreach, school-led campaigns, and onsite registrations helped the state record over 25 lakh entries, with parents leading participation in the national exam stress reduction initiative.

Chhattisgarh has emerged as one of the leading states in Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026, recording high participation across students, teachers, and parents in the Prime Minister Narendra Modi–led initiative focused on reducing exam-related stress.
The state has ranked first nationwide in parental participation and fourth overall in total registrations. Official data shows that 25.16 lakh people from Chhattisgarh have registered so far, including 22.75 lakh students, 155,000 teachers, and 81,533 parents.

"In terms of parental participation in 'Pariksha Pe Charcha,' Chhattisgarh ranks first in the country. In total registrations, the state stands fourth nationally," a government official said.
The official highlighted strong district-level engagement, particularly in Balodabazar and Sarangarh-Bilaigarh.
"In Balodabazar district, 14,658 parents have registered. In the Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district, 9,952 parents have registered. Maximum participation was ensured through district-level review meetings. On-site registration facilities were arranged at teacher-training centers," he added.
Momentum for the campaign has been driven by coordinated efforts at the school and community levels. A Pariksha Pe Charcha Mela held in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh resulted in more than 10,000 registrations in a single day, a sharp rise from the earlier daily average of around 1,500.
Similar outreach events have been conducted in other districts to increase awareness and participation. Teacher involvement has also played a key role in the state’s performance.
"To ensure active participation of teachers in Pariksha Pe Charcha in Chhattisgarh, registration facilities were arranged directly at teacher-training venues. During training, teachers were briefed in detail about the registration process and assisted with on-the-spot registration, resulting in a very large number of teacher registrations," the official said.
The registration drive for Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 began on Dec 1 and will continue until Jan 11. Education officials said the state is on track to cross the three million registration mark, given the sustained response from districts.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai credited the achievement to collective participation. "The achievement secured by the state in 'Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026' is the result of the collective efforts of students, teachers, and parents," he said.
He also pointed to a broader shift in attitudes toward examinations. "The message given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi that examinations should not be a source of stress but celebrated as a festival has been embraced wholeheartedly in Chhattisgarh," Sai added.

State officials say the top ranking in parental participation reflects growing awareness among families, with parents increasingly focusing on confidence-building rather than academic pressure.
District reviews, on-site support, and sustained outreach by local education authorities have helped make registration easier and more inclusive.
The chief minister said, "I am confident that with the same enthusiasm we will also achieve the target of more than three million registrations and will continue to advance this campaign to make examinations stress-free as a people's movement."
