The portal went live on June 2 after a four-day delay, but students soon reported login failures and frozen screens.

The CBSE Class 12 re-evaluation and verification portal ran into fresh trouble on June 2 after students reported being unable to access the platform shortly after it was declared operational. Several candidates said the portal froze after they entered and uploaded their login credentials, preventing them from proceeding with their applications.
The latest disruption comes after multiple delays and repeated assurances from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) that the post-result services portal would be activated. The platform was initially scheduled to go live on May 29, before being pushed to June 1 and eventually becoming accessible on June 2.

CBSE had announced the portal's launch on social media several times in recent days. However, reports of accessibility and loading issues began surfacing soon after students started using the platform.
The glitches affect the more than 4,04,319 students expected to apply this year for verification of marks, photocopies of answer sheets and re-evaluation of their results.

The issue has also gained attention amid the controversy surrounding CBSE's new On-Screen Marking (OSM) system. In an exclusive interview with India Today, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan estimated that 15% to 20% of students who access their evaluated answer books could eventually seek verification of marks or re-evaluation.
If that projection proves accurate, CBSE could receive between 60,000 and 80,000 review requests, making it one of the largest post-result scrutiny exercises in the board's history.
The re-evaluation process has remained under scrutiny since the declaration of the Class 12 results.
Students and parents have complained of payment gateway failures, excess fee deductions, missing payment receipts, login issues and difficulties accessing scanned answer sheets. Some candidates have also alleged that copies of answer books were blurred, incomplete or did not accurately reflect their original responses.
The designated portal had earlier witnessed heavy traffic when it first opened in May, leading to intermittent disruptions and temporary shutdowns.
The repeated delays have heightened anxiety among students hoping to improve their scores before college admissions and counseling processes gather pace.
With the portal continuing to face technical disruptions despite revised schedules, many candidates remain uncertain about when they will be able to complete the verification and re-evaluation process without interruptions.
As of June 2, CBSE had not announced any further extension or a fresh timeline beyond the revised activation schedule.
