CBSE cancels multiple Class 10 papers in Middle East schools, delays Class 12 exam

CBSE cancels multiple Class 10 papers in Middle East schools, delays Class 12 exam

The Central Board of Secondary Education has cancelled several Class 10 board examinations and postponed a Class 12 paper scheduled for March 7 across CBSE-affiliated schools in parts of the Middle East, according to an official notice issued on March 5, 2026.

The communication was sent to school principals in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, informing them about changes to the examination schedule.

For Class 10 students, the board has cancelled all examinations that were scheduled between March 7 and March 11, 2026, in these countries. In addition, papers that had been planned earlier on March 2, March 3, March 5, and March 6 have also been cancelled.

CBSE said that the method for declaring results for Class 10 candidates in the Middle East will be announced separately. Schools and students will receive further instructions at a later stage.

For Class 12 candidates, the examination scheduled for March 7, 2026, has been postponed. The board said a revised date will be announced after reviewing the situation in the region.

CBSE also indicated that a decision regarding examinations planned from March 9 onward will be taken after assessing conditions in the affected countries.

Students appearing for Class 12 examinations in the Middle East have been advised to remain in contact with their respective schools and follow official announcements for updates on the revised examination schedule.

Schools have also been asked to regularly monitor CBSE notifications to ensure that students and parents receive timely information about further developments related to examinations and result declarations.
