The board instructs affiliated schools to integrate digital lessons from PM eVidya Channel 15 into classroom teaching to enhance student learning, teacher training, and equitable access to quality education.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has directed its affiliated schools to actively utilize PM eVidya’s CBSE Channel 15 to strengthen classroom teaching and improve learning outcomes. The Board issued the advisory through a circular dated Jan 7, 2026.
Under the PM eVidya initiative, CBSE manages Channel 15 on the DTH platform, offering 67 curated educational videos for students in Classes 9 to 11 and professional development resources for teachers.

The channel includes content on core subjects such as Mathematics, Science, and Social Science, along with sessions on experiential learning, storytelling techniques, assessment strategies, cyber safety, and the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
According to CBSE, this digital platform aims to close learning gaps and provide equitable access to quality education across the country.
The board said that repeated television broadcasts and on-demand access through YouTube allow students to learn at their own pace while offering teachers additional tools for lesson planning and classroom engagement.
The board emphasized that all videos are developed by subject experts and comply with national standards for educational programming.
The same content is also available on the CBSE TV YouTube channel to ensure wider reach and accessibility.

School heads have been instructed to ensure that the necessary infrastructure, outlined in a previous circular from June 2024, is in place.
They have also been asked to inform teachers and students about using the digital content for revision, enrichment, and remedial learning.
CBSE has further invited experienced educators and resource persons to collaborate with its Centres of Excellence in producing more high-quality educational videos to expand the PM eVidya content library.
