The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has postponed the Second Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for 2024 due to unforeseen reasons. The test was scheduled for June 26–28. The Board has not issued any new test dates.

The official notice read, "By order of release number PR 238/2024, in the context of Rule 4 of Bihar School Special Teacher Rules, 2023, teacher candidates appearing in the Competency Test of Local Body Teachers, 2024 (Second), all District Education Officers, all District Program Officers (Establishment), and all concerned are informed that the Competency Test, 2024 (II) to be held in both shifts from 26.06.2024 to 28.06.2024 is postponed due to unavoidable reasons. The development arises after the National Testing Agency (NTA) postponed the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR-UGC NET) due to unforeseen circumstances and logistical issues.

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) administers the Bihar Secondary Teachers Eligibility Test (STET) to candidates seeking positions as higher secondary (Class 11–12) and secondary (Class 9–10) teachers. Paper 1 (secondary) and Paper 2 (higher secondary) are the two papers that make up the Bihar STET test. For candidates to be considered for teaching positions in various Bihar government schools, they must pass the written exam.
