Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has introduced 22 courses on the Study Webs of Active-Learning for Young Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM) platform for the Jan 2025 session.
The initiative, part of the Government of India’s SWAYAM program, seeks to democratize education by providing free and flexible online learning opportunities to students, professionals, and lifelong learners across the nation.
Dr. Ashutosh Mohan, Coordinator of BHU SWAYAM, emphasized that these courses are curated by BHU's distinguished faculty to address a wide range of subjects.
These are the courses:
Topics include Indian Knowledge Systems, Finance, Law, Agriculture, Machine Learning, Tourism, Culture Studies, and Life Skills. The programs, designed to accommodate diverse learner needs, range from 4 to 12 weeks in duration.
Starting on January 20, 2025, the courses will allow participants to explore both contemporary and traditional academic disciplines. Exams for these courses are scheduled for April 2025. "This initiative reflects our commitment to providing accessible and high-quality education to all," Dr. Mohan stated.
Interested learners can register for these courses on the SWAYAM portal by visiting https://swayam.gov.in/INI. BHU’s offerings on SWAYAM not only cater to academic growth but also empower individuals by enhancing their knowledge and skills, enabling them to contribute meaningfully to society.
