Raijor Dal demanded an explanation from the National Testing Agency, sought an external inquiry into the prolonged delay, and urged authorities to announce a clear timeline promptly.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is facing criticism over the continued delay in releasing the UGC-NET June 2026 provisional answer key and results, with Assam-based political party Raijor Dal and its youth wing, Jatiya Yuva Bahini, demanding an explanation and warning of a democratic protest if the issue remains unresolved.
Speaking at a press conference at the Guwahati Press Club, Raijor Dal spokesperson Martand Dihingia said the agency has not issued any official communication for more than a month after the examination, leaving candidates uncertain about the publication of the provisional answer key and the declaration of results.

According to the party, the delay has disrupted the plans of many aspirants who are waiting for their UGC-NET qualification to become eligible for PhD admissions, Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) opportunities, and appointments as Assistant Professors.
The party questioned why the NTA has remained silent despite several weeks having elapsed since the examination.
It urged the testing agency to publicly clarify the reason for the delay and announce a specific schedule for releasing both the provisional answer key and the final results.
Raijor Dal and Jatiya Yuva Bahini also sought an independent investigation into the matter, saying the inquiry should be conducted by an agency other than the NTA to ensure fairness and credibility.
They said the probe should determine what led to the delay and recommend corrective measures to avoid similar situations in future examinations.
Commenting on the recent change in the Union Education Ministry, Dihingia said a change in leadership would not by itself address the concerns of students unless examination-related issues are resolved in a timely manner.
He said transparent communication and prompt action are necessary to restore confidence in the examination process.
The two organizations said they are preparing a democratic protest program and would announce it soon if the NTA fails to respond to their demands.
Appealing for an early resolution, Raijor Dal said thousands of UGC-NET aspirants should not be left waiting indefinitely for information regarding a national-level examination that is crucial for their academic and professional careers.
